John Balaban, author of Spring Essence and translator of Hồ Xuân Hương, along with Ngô Thanh Nhàn playing the đàn tranh, and Lê Phạm Lê singing poetry, at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena. They have performed at many other venues including the Field Museum in Chicago, the Freer Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Asian Art Museum in Seattle, the San Francisco Public Library, the American Museum of Natural History, the National Humanities Center as well as at colleges and universities.
